The Bible was written many years after the actual events occurred. Do you remember every exact thing you did on a vacation a few decades ago perfectly?? No, and neither did the writers. You can read the same stories in different books, and there is variation just because of the point of view.

I'm not even going to try to argue with any of you though. I'm Catholic, and I believe everything about the religion. Most Atheists will never come into a discussion about religion with an open mind, and it is a waste of breath to try to debate with them.

I am also catholic, but some things are hard to believe with science versus God, but i believe God when it comes to this. Theory of Evolution is one thing I believe tho, it just makes sense to me, lol.

I believe evolution as well, but where my Catholic faith comes into play is that the chances of things ending up like they did was very small. There must have been some higher force playing a role in that. I believe that force is God.

To Mr. Mixx: I like your testimony, but in my opinion i don't believe in tongues and here is why. 1 Corinthians: 13:8 says... Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease;whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. Charity is love and the wisdom will vanish when we die. I think tongues were used for when the bible was not written. Preachers would have people that spoke more than one language. So he was able to speak in tongues so everyone could understand him.

-edit- to Istonian Here is my answer to You my friend taken from the King James Version of the Bible..

In Acts chapter 2:4

2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
