Troubleshooting Home Network Issues
I am always having problems with my home network. Is there a standard way to troubleshoot the problems? Like a list of what to check?
The main problem is my second desktop computer. This is the family workstation and connection is spotty at best. Currently on ipconfig /all it lists the correct static IP, however it cannot connect to the internet.
My hardware:
Scientific-Atlanta WebSTAR
cable modem
Linksys WRTP54G 802.11g router for Vonage
Main desktop: Wired, connected directly to router
Other desktop: Linksys PCI adapter, single moveable antenna
IBM Laptop: Linksys notebook adapter
Dell Laptop: Included internal card
