Big problem,Urgent help needed

I recently bought a new video card after installing it i turned the computer off and changed the monitor crt cable from the motherboard to the video card after i have ON the computer, after the windows xp loading screen comes and goes, nothing comes there is only a black blank screen

secondly i changed backed the wire to the motherboard I/O panel and it comes normal, so i decided to change the monitor blue wire at the same time the monitor is on, it goes to the blank screen, if i change it back to the mobo I/O panel it will work


is this affecting the video card:
Intel 82810E Graphics controller i used this before the video card
or could it be any other problem

It is a nvidia video card

i jus figured out something else, after i installed the video card and go to the directx diagnostic tool, it doesnt have the video card there under the display tab.

moniore wire to motherbord?
the only thing that goes to the mother bord is power and picexspress slot
do u mean the cable from your graphics card to your monitor?
did u have intergreated graphics before a graphics card?
cuz this can couse interference if not disabled on some cards

def sounds like a driver problem as after the xp boot screen thats when the windows drivers kick in so have u downloaded the latest driver of nvidia web site ?

hes not being spacific tho
he said after he changed some wire it worked fine?
if it is a drive problem
just boot up in safe mode and dl it off the net

wait so let me get this straight
one of the wires allows every thing to run right but the other one dosnt?
that just means one of your vga or dvi cables is broken
get a new pne

nope i have a crt monitor and it works in the motherboard I/O panel
