Newegg Open Box products-safe?

honestly i wouldnt trust open box some parts are probably fine like monitors and such but i definatly wouldnt trust an open box motherboard or processor.

My HDD is open box from Newegg and my friend bought an open box ASUS A5N-X motherboard, really it's completely safe, besides, Newegg has good policy regarding open box items doesn't it?

I think it's 15 day RMA, i don't know, it says it on their website somewhere, i read through it but i forgot...i'll look and repost. any other thoughts
