Is it OK to apply CPU 'Thermal Grease' to my GPU heatsink?

How is your airflow in your computer? How many fans has it got?

The airflow is alright even though there's just one fan at the back sucking air out.

Argh, I just put aload more on it and it hasn't reduced the temp really. Wtf is going on with this?

well give it time, put some more on if ou need to just be patient.

Well, no. It should spread as soon as you power on.

Now, perhaps you didn't need thermal paste then. In order to help the cooling effect, it's the fan you need. 1-2 in the back taking out air, and 1-2 in the front for taking in cool air.

Reapplying thermal paste doesn't necessarily it will cool down your GPU.
