Hey anyone know what the top of the line processor out is? If price was not a factor, what would be the best one to get right now? Once again, I'm a complete noob with this stuff.

The Intel QX6800. Quad core processor, 2.93 GHz clock speed...it's damn fast.

Hard to find anywhere though.

No, it's really hard to find anywhere for some reason..

The QX6700 is on newegg though, still faster than 99.9% of people could ever need presently:

annyyy that it liiike you know, neccesary? like useful amount of speed, not too much speed that I'm never going to use haha I know I asked top of the line, but somethin that's useful and will play today's games just fine

QX6700 will in fact....play any games. haha. Just need a good video card. A Q6600 is very good right now.
