Ok, well im planning on building another computer(this will be my third) but anyways... im lookin at around 1000 dollars.. But here is what i have got, and thinking i should get. It totals ina round 812$ US currency. Any suggestions? go right ahead.

Just in advance, if your thinking about changing something that is GPU wise, i will mainly only go with XFX GPU's or Evga, because i trust them the most. Thanks.

It looks sweet. I do have to ask though why an AMD? right now the Core 2 is out doing them.

you could still keep to the XFX of EVGA for the motherboard. XFX makes some off of the 680i chipset, and EVGA makes some for both the 650i and 680i.

Well, im just more confident with AMD, i have about two weeks till I order parts though, can't wait... Ill look for a core 2 processor and a mobo and see. Any suggestions Celegorm?

EDIT: And i really can't find a Core 2 processor for 169$ or less that is over 2.6ghz op freq...

That looks like a nice build, and I'm happy that some people are still giving AMD a chance even though they've been bashed and bashed and bashed on by numerous people on the forums. Not to say one proc is better than the other, but I'm glad that people are still getting AMD based products. Go for it.

Yeah, amd is basically the way that im going... And plus there processors pixels have to travel a shorter distance.

I had that hard drive for less than 6 months, and it died on me. So I can't really recommend it..

Noticeably faster, it hasn't skipped a beat, and a bit more storage. You can't really go wrong.

well, to use an intel based board with similar specs, it would go above your price range (didn't notice that before, sorry).

I didn't think of it before, but now that Free has mentioned it, that seagate is a better buy. I too have found seagates to be more reliable than really anything.
