New Hard Drive

Ok i have put in a new hardrive into my system and it works because you can see it in dos. How do you make it visible in windows explorer?

I am using windows XP

You have to initialize it ..go to control panel..administrative tools..computer management..then disk management. you should be able to see the uninitialized disk in there..click on it and initialize it and partition it as you wish from there
