I have just recently built a new system and everything is running good except that my 0404 PCI card is only outputing sound through the left side and I have tried different speakers. What I discovered was that in the sound properties in the control panel under spearker volume and settings is that there is only a speaker volume control for the left side and nothing for the right side. I have Windows XP Service pack1 installed, have re-installed audio drivers and even installed the most recent 0404 drivers and Patchmix update. What could be the problem?

update to SP2 ASAP SP1 isnt supported anymore

Isn't service pack 2 everything service pack 1 has except that it has alot of security fixes? i thought I remembered seeing in the cards manuel to use service pack 1 or higher.
