8800GTS Overclocks!

Who here has overclocked there 8800gts? Whats speeds did you reach and what temps are you getting? I have mine at 615/1000 and the max temp i get while playing games is 70C.

I've overclocked mine, but for some reason its RAM doesn't seem to be doing nearly as well as many others'. I have mine at 648/900, and when I set the memory to ~930 it artifacts immediately.

And as for the core being 648, I can't remember the exact values, but from ~640-661 it sets the core automatically to 648. If you're using 662-~685, it auto-sets it to 675. My card can't make the jump from 648 to 675. I'm still happy with it though; great OCs are not guaranteed. My temperatures are around 70 during ATITool's artifact scanner.

What company did you get it from? Maybe the 320mb versions don't overclock as well?

I got it from eVGA. I've heard the 320s overclock about the same as the 640s; I just got a not-as-good overclocker.

edit: If you're looking to push it more, here's a helpful chart to get the most out of it and not be robbed of any speed.

From what I read the 320mb OCes the same as the 640, I have mine runing at 600/950Mhz at fanspeed set at 85%. Idle 53-54, playing like 63-64C, max like 70C looking for artifacts with ATI Tool.

How do you set fan speed on video cards?

My 7900gt is so loud when I installed vista.

Like its normal then I boot up and go into vista and the fan kicks on full blast and stays like that.

In XP it only did that when I was playing a game..

Download Riva tuner to set fan speed. Or ntune

Even with the latest driver i cant change the fan speed in ntune. I used Riva Tuner. Im not sure it works with vista though.

Yeah it does work download Rivatuner 2.01 that one works with vista. I have 158.18 drivers, Home premium.
