I just ordered a computer, and some people are telling me, I do not have enough wattage to run the system. Can someone please help me out and let know. My computer setup is like this...

-Power Supply: 620W Corsair HX (SLI Compatible) (Silent Edition)

-Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.67GHz (1066MHz Front Side Bus) (4MB Cache)

-Motherboard: Asus P5N-E SLI (Chipset: nForce 650i Intel) (SLI Compatible) (Quad Core Conroe)

-Memory: 2GB DDR2 Corsair at 667MHz

-Hard Drive 1: 250GB Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM) (SATA)

-Optical Drive 1: DVD-ROM/CD-ROM (DVD Reader 16x / CD Reader 40x)

-Video Card: 2x SLI Dual (nVidia GeForce 8600GT 256MB (By: eVGA) (PCI-Express)

-Sound Card: Motherboard Multi-Channel High Definition Audio (7.1 Channel)

and etc... please let me know because I already ordered the computer like this, and now I'm stressed about it lol

Hmmm... that is quite a good system so I would recommend at least a 600W PSU and seeing that you have a 620W, it should be fine! The Corsair brand is an excellent choice too.

Should be, yes. The graphics are probably the biggest component to normally worry about - after a quick search in google I found that each card uses max. 43W so if you have two cards it would be 86W. Your processor will use around 65W.

AJ.

yeah, the 620W Corsair PSU is amazingly stable and really top of the line for that wattage range, it should be more than enough to handle your system, two 8600GTs won't put too much strain, I'd worry about it if it were 2 8800GTS/X otherwise no, that powersupply is more than sufficient :D.

Seems okay for the power supply, however picking two mid range SLI cards over a high range 8800 card is a bad move, far less peformance.

Dude that will be a fine powersupply, but I also agree w. DJ-CHRIS, I would go w. a 8800.
