plug that into your Mic in and the guitar into that, (it's a 1/4" jack to 1/8" adapter to make the guitar lead fit your computers mic port).

that'll let you use your computers as an amplifier,

to record, I'd suggest some free software, like Audacity.

I'd also like to say I recomend doing this too. Integrated won't give you the same sound quality, but you only require a 5$ adapter to get going this way.

yeah audacity is real good to record as for sound i would get a dedicated card cos integrated is good up until a certain point ,
