I have an older pc laying around and thought I would mess with some Linux.
I found PCLinuxOS on the web, and just wondering if anyone here has heard of it or used it, or has any other suggestions for windows like Linux OS to mess with.

Thanks

i just installed ubuntu. it was easy to install, runs well, does some cool stuff. i ran it as a live cd on my older comp and it seemed to handle it ok. its a pretty stable/simple os.

yeah ubuntu is pretty good with older comps although post specs and i am sure people will help you out a little

although ubuntu is good i prefer kubuntu cos of the kde interface i prefer that

I'll check out Ubuntu.
The specs of the computer are:
Gigabyte GA-7VRXP motherboard.
AMD Socket A Sempron CPU 1.5 Ghz.
756MB generic PC2700 RAM.
Geforce TI 4600 128MB GPU

Is Ubuntu graphical interface?

Thanks for the tips

You can run Ubuntu good with those specs. I ran it on a Pen-III and 128RAM (in my sig).

Ubuntu has a simple and nice interface. You can install beryl to make a little eye candy.
