I don't think Soundwave is in this one. They're going to use Frenzy instead. THere were conflicts about Frenzy and Soundwave from what I've read. The producers felt that having both characters will clash and so they decided to beef up Frenzy as it's own audio player instead of relying on Soundwave (Frenzy was originally a cassette tape). But Soundwave is still a character though, but I'm not entirely sure if he will make an appearance in this new movie---so we'll be looking forward to what's up with that.
I guess Megatron is suppose to be some kind of jet, but the original Megatron (even Galvatron--a resurrection of Megatron when he died) was a laser blaster or a cannon blaster of some type. I think it was in the later Transformers series (Transformers Cybertron--the one with all those Cyber Keys deal) that Megatron changed identity to an alien fighter jet.
