English pound passes the two dollar mark

Today, the US dollar reached it's highest rate against the pound for 26 years, I wondered what the views of the members are about this situation.

I'm not talking about the obvious here, namely the fact that it will benefit the British buying goods in the States & having the reverse effect of Americans visiting Britain, I mean the deeper issues like who wins & who loses in other areas such as imports & exports & the resultant effect on industries.

yep , i dont rely care as i am not planning on going to the states or buying anything from over there any time soo
no offence i mean i aint going on holiday or anything so i aint interested

This is great if your planning on buying online from the states. I got a few raptors shipped over a while back and they worked out at £64 each. If i had bought them now it would be even cheaper.

no, either US inflation shot up, or British inflation went down. either way, it is only about a [edit] couple cents.
