I know this one is supposed to leave a light footprint on system resources but how good is it?

never heard of it.
I'd recommend that you use either avg or avira antivir. Both are good and free, and they don't use too much resources either.

I've never head of it either. if you want a good anti-virus that isn't free, and leaves virtually no footprint, get nod32.
