Please help me ASAP with my dvd burner

Hi iv been having some problems with my dvd burner iv just updated the driver and thought that might fix it but when i want to burn a dvd the cd drive pops out but not the dvd one, So when i go to nero burning rom i click on the dvd video button then i click new, and put my video into VIDEO_TS and click the burn button. then a window pops up and i click burn. My E drive wont get detected which is my dvd burner (it will only get detected up the top) only my D drive which is my CD burner how can i burn videos again

Also im using windows xp pro SP2

Before you click new to burn a DVD, change the drive at the top to your DVD drive and then click new

Thats what i did but it always goes and shows my D drive not my E drive
