Thinking about it........

I don't plan to do any overclocking nor play any hardcore games really. But I know I could if I wanted to.

Any compatibility problems anyone can think of between those items?

no i all looks good , if you arent planning no overclcokign why not get a lower amd dual core likethe 4800 or somethin would save you some money and it would still be good enough

anyways a nice system and a good upgrade from an xp2600 thats for sure

My 4200+ has done nothing but impressed me, I would get that and maybe invest in a raptor, of if you are eventually going to do some hardcore gaming, a better video card.

Looks like the X2 6000 is out of stock on Newegg so I've updated the setup a bit, have a look at it and see what you think:

Let me know what you think, any compatibility problems with this stuff? Which setup do you like better, the first one or the second one? I could always get the X2 6000 processor from someplace else for the first setup, if it isn't sold out everywhere.

if you like amd try and get an x2 6000 or hows bout a lower x2 anyways nice all round ,

Yea dude that C2D setup will pwn the amd.

I love amd too and I feel bad saying that about amd, and I have an amd, but I love it, its fast as hell.
