Ok I am ordering my computer today it will be an e6400, 2GB memory it come with an 7300LE which is crap I know. I dont know if I want to get an 8800GTS since the R600 is really close on launching which beats the crap out of 8800's, prices will go down for sure.

So I want like a decent gaming card I am looking at the 7600GT eVGA sells one at 110 or the GS at 90. Should I get one of those the GS so I can save some money for a new card or just spend the money on a GT or just wait with my crappy 7300LE?

I'd say just tough it out with the 7300LE. The R600 should be out within a month or two. Unless you have some money to burn. Granted after you do upgrade to the 8800 or R600 you could sell your current card for 60-70% of what you paid roughly. And if you really wanted a better card for the few months you might as well pay the $20 difference and get the GT.

if i where you i would just live with the 7300 le for a while , then get an 8800 or r600 later i wouldnt bother getting a 7600gt just a few months to then get an 8800 or r600 might as well go straight form 7300le to 8800 or r600

yeah. I have a 7600GT (a bit better than the LE), and the graphics aren't terrible bad. wait for the DX10 card you wanna get.

The thing is that the crappy LE takes RAM away, since im buying everthing for my computer including furniture for my room ill may have to stick with it a few months. Dont got that much money to burn since its a new comp dunno I may stick with a 7600GT it would be a huge improvement over my crappy 9600SE.

Since I'm really cheap and don't have lots of money, I would just bear with the 7300LE for now

Huh you calling me cheap?

I think he was referring to himself..."Since I'm really cheap"

But yeah, it depends how long and how much gaming you are going to do...I have a 7600GT and it's great for me, I don't really game much and it plays most things out now at a reasonable FPS on reasonably good gfx/resolutions

Yeah I think I will go with that one since ill wait for a larger range of DX10 cards. Whats its ATI counter part?

ATI is coming out with R600, x2800XTX and coming out with cheaper versions such as x2800xt, x2800xL, x2800GTO or is x2900... not sure.

As for Nvdia they know ATI is going to come back. Their going to make a 8900 just slightly better than the 8800 and they are also making a cheaper version 8600.

R600 is also coming out in the late fall this year. Your gonna wait longer than you thought
