my Evga 8800 rapid drop in degrees!

I was wondering why my graphics cards was running so hot and it finally made it to 70 Celsius after creeping from 60

Turns out automatic fan speed controller was set to 60%

Turned it up to full and it has dropped nearly 10 degrees in 2 minutes!

Im glad its cooler now, because I was getting nervous.

Good thing is that it didnt increase in noise because my other fans drown it out lol

I know I spelled Degrees wrong in title, can't change it now though

Yeah, that'll happen if your fan isn't running fast enough.

Try dusting the inside of your case with some compressed air, that will drop all your temps by a few degrees.

It's very common. The faster the fan spins, the more CFM it pushes. Then, you;ll have cooler temps.
