laptop screen

Hey I have a laptop and I'm pretty sure the screen is overheated, can I take out the drive and transfer it to my desktop, or is there any way possible to get this fixed or get my information.....Thanks.

if you have the desktop and the laptop networked together then you could simply remote desktop and send all the files over the network. thats if the laptop still powers on. i cant say ive heard of an overheating screen. maybe its something else overheating

i searched google on overheating screens and couldnt find anything on it, could you describe more in detail whats going on? maybe we can help you fix it
