Sound problems

Alright I'm using the motherboard in my sig (M2N-sli deluxe) and I'm using the on board sound and I get a popping noise through my speakers. I know its not my speakers because it is also connected to my surround sound, its a denon receiver so i know its not that, and I still get the noise.

Could it be the mobo, and it just started after I reformatted, and I went through all the settings for the sound, and they all seem alright.

do you get this noise all the time? i have a simular problem on my desktop but it only happens if i run too much at once on it ... you have tried updating the drivers havent you?

yea I updated the drivers, yea I usually get it all the time.
