Car Thread!

Wow, I just saw a commercial advertising for the new BMW 3 series. Get this: twin turbo, 300HP. Whew, that's really something. I think it's just more problem down the road with this particular model. I never here cars with twin turbos last....

I think its pathetic that it needs twin turbos for 300HP. I mean, the M3 makes 330HP N/A.

When people hear twin turbos they think of power. Part of the advirtising. Plus thats sick. Mine has jst over 200hp very low gear ratio so its quick off the starts

Same with the IS350, well not exactly 330HP--but they make roughly 306HP which is a beast, no FI of any kind. I wish I had that but can you imagine the amount of gas you're going to be using?!?! Especially with gas on the rise to nearly $4.00 a gallon?!?! Right now, it's getting way up there again.

Man, i was just browsing through one of my mags...no, not that one !! And i came across some really radical cars. For instance this one :

Wow, just got back from North Carolina. For a Focus meet. Yes I'm crazy, we've already established that.

Anyway, there were 31 Foci there, we did a cruise around town and on the interstate, I swear the line was like half a mile. I also got to ride in a turbo SVT Focus that dynod 360hp and 316 ft. lbs. that day on a stock engine and pump gas, 19 psi of boost. That thing screamed! I swear it hit triple digits a little faster than I hit 60.

BTW cabbspapp, Ford didn't kill the Taurus, they just resurrected it. They recently decided to rename the 500 to Taurus because of "brand recognition." Load of crap if you ask me.

Everytime I see one of those Ford Five Hundred (lol, they actually spell it out instead of making it just 500), I instantly think of an old man behind the wheel. Seems like most dealer are going through an identity crisis right now. The Toyota Solara is basically a Camry. It's too blah and doesn't look too good in latest sales figure either. The new SE with the V6 motor is way better looking than any Solara I've seen. I won't be surprised to see it fade out. Same with Nissan. They have an issue with their new Altima and Maxima lineups. Too similar. Something's got to give.....It use to be the Maxima was the flagship, the best of Nissan.

Here's what's interesting too. The new Camry has more than 75% of the same feature that you find in the new Lexus's and I swear some are better too. I actually like their version of stereo's and CD player than the crappy Lexus. The push button start is becoming a standard in all vehicles. The worse part is that it's half the price of a new Lexus with nearly the same luxury features. In a way, I'm regretting not getting the smoking hot Camry. It has a very potent V6 motor, but performance is hindered due to the new vehicle stability control. It won't let you get off at the start. I've driven it quite a few times to know this.
