Building 2 computers, Would love some help

Well, if you're planning to use lot of editing, I think the E6600 is the best bet. I was going to shoot you some nice Xeon, but the price would hit well over 3k. For the 8800GTS, It's a plus because when you're going to use your PC for DX10 stuff, you're going to be ready for it.

For the cheaper PC, I have the X1050 that is cheap.

I feel the 4GB may be a bit overkill for what you're using your PC for. But I also hear that by having that much RAM, you can eliminate a page file by having everything loaded into RAM.
