Explorer.exe is corrupt?

When my computer has loaded,it comes up with this message?

Im thinking my explorer.exe is corrupt can i just replace it and it will work?

run chkdsk /f from a command prompt, or use system restore.

I just did a chkdsk /f and it came up alright,How can i do a system restore through the task manager or through the command prompt?

sfc/ scannow
Make sure you put the space between the / and the s. It has to be there. Also make sure you have your xp cd in the drive as it will referance it.
What this does is check for altered or damaged or missing system files.

You can do system restore from start > accessories > system tools > system restore.

If that doesnt work then do what seti suggested and run the system file checker, you need your XP CD for it to work, and it will probably take a while.

won't the repair feature on you recov. disk work? I know it
will repair .DLL's but not sure if it will for .exe anyone know?
