i got win98 ima try to install..
then maybe i can upgrade it to win2000 correct?

damn! i got the win98 in and i was able to get to the setup screen but it froze again..

its still doing it.. after 2-3 mins it freezes up

Test the RAM with memtest. You said in your first post that it was freezing during the RAM cgeck, so its probably that. Try each stick seperately and see if it will install then. (you can add the RAM back later)
Check the HDD with diagnostic tools from the HDD manufacturer.

i checked out my ram sticks and for some reason this computer would read the second stick but would make the computer freeze... so now i only got 1 mem stick in..

ok.. so now i am able to get to bios and change boot config..

and i got the cd in its running
im looking at a blue screen... windows 2000 setup at the top and at the bottom it says (setup is loading files...(pci... scsi... ide... ETC ETC) )
once its done loading the setup files it says setup is starting windows 2000
and freezes right there..

im thinking it may be my install cd but it was find before and i dont see any marks, fingerprints

i dont know what to do...

It sounds like its upto the point where its looking for HDD. Give it 10 mins or so, because your running less RAM.
