making a video

I want to make a video of a question to send to Xplay, but I don't have even the first of the tools I'll need. What are your thoughts on this camera, which also comes with a built-in microphone. Also, what software do you recommend to put this together? I don't want to pay if I don't have to.

the cam should come with some software, and if it doesnt, i think you can use windows movie maker for it
