Well, now that college is here and i successfully made it into some of my top choices, my parents are buying me a laptop!
I know the first question will be what price range am I in... Lets just forget about that for a little while (2K would really be max, but im hoping to find a really good deal)
I dont know if I want mac or PC. On mac, I can do vista. I know it isnt encouraged/allowed, but is it possible to install OS X on a PC laptop with the core duo?
I plan on using this for college work, videos, music, etc. I really dont game a lot so thats no biggie for me. I just like computers to be fast and good. I dont need the top of the line ultimate gaming laptop or anything, but I also dont want some old rundown dell laptop.
So i'm just looking for ideas to get me started... Is a good mac similarly priced to a good pc? Should I buy online, in store, or even from ebay (but I want brand new, i dont mind no warranty).
and 17" widescreen would be good, wireless capabilities of course needed
Thanks guys!
