DVD player format?

I want to burn a movie thats on my computer that I made that .avi onto a DVD so I can play it in a dvd player on my tv. What would I use to convert it, or do I even need to convert it?

If the formats avi you can use WINAVI OR SUPER DVD CREATOR

i'll try the super dvd creator seems like its working i'm burning it now but its only 5 minutes since its a trial version... I think i got a copy of nero when I bought my dvd burner so i'll have to see if that works

just finished i'll go test it out hope it works

ok well in nero, see if theres a program called nero vision

i doubt it will be in the DVD burner OEM version

nero 7 will work fine, i prefer win avi to convert and use super dvd creators burnig tool to burn the file, seems to stop audio and video going out of sinc.,you can use super dvd creator to convert and burn in one if you wish

well, GREAT SUCCESS! lol borat, it worked but its the trial version of that software so it only did a minute of it... now i gotta try and find nero i think i lost it in my room lol

should i do PAL, or NTSC output?

if you have wide screen do NTSC i you have ordinary tv use pal, its asking you what output size you want you picture wide screen 16.9 or pal 4.3 standard tv
