Hey guys,

Ok so got around £300-400 to spend on a new processor,Motherboard,Ram.

I need it for High end gaming ( Want to play crysis when it comes out )
Need to get amazing FPS on source on all maps with specs pretty high.

I Have been looking at processors and are pretty much hooked on the e6600 which comes to about £200 so i would need a motherboard and RAM with that..

I would need it to be able to support the 8800 and vista....

I'll make a little list here of things i have got ect ect..

Processor -- ?
Motherboard --?
RAM --?
Graphics card -- I already own a geforce 7950 GT OC 512
PSU -- 580 Hiiper PSU SLI
Case -- ? Not in my priority as i can get one pretty easily although if i have spare cash then ok what ever!

Thanks!

i would just get a mobo and ram , then wait for cysis to come out cos then 8800 cards will have gone down in price and ati 8800 cards should have come out hopefully

Hey,

So this is what i am at,Not sure it will be final but a guideline.

Motherboard== ASUS P5B-E LG
Processor== Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Socket 775 2.4GHz
Ram== Crucial CT2KIT12864AA667 2x1GB PC2-5300 NonECC CL5
DVD Drive== LiteOn 16x DVD+/-RW/RAM SATA beige drive & software
Hard drive== Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 160GB PATA
Graphics card== Geforce 7950 BFG OC (Already purchased)

Ok do they all connect?

Can they all support a Geforce 8800 as i would want to upgrade to a dx10 card.
Are there any bottle necks there?

What type of Case will i need to hold the mobo?

Do you think i should change any of them around?

Thanks.

Yes.

Yes, it would work great.

I would get some faster RAM if you could. Some DDR2-800 (PC2-6400) would really be better.

What's your budget on a case?
Do you think i should change any of them around?
Besides the RAM, looks good.

Well,

How much would some faster ram cost?

So far it is at £420 INC the ram which costs £80~

So i could stretch to £470 if my dad pays £400..
