Measurements of computer parts

would plywood work? then just cut groves into it? or what about balsa wood, or would that be too weak?

I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing for the wood, the only thing I'm concerned about is the back slots for pci like where you plug everything into the video card, sound card etc. I'm asking my teacher tomorrow and see if he knows, hopefully he does.

I'm talking more about the area where the pci slots would go, how could i make a clean area for that with slots?

use a router to thin the wood in the back to 1/4" for where the pci slots are. then use a drill press to drill holes to remove the majority of the wood where the pci slots are. then clean up the holes with a chisel.

i start a new trimester on monday and i got woodshop 1st period i hope i can make a case :D

That's what I was thinking about doing, I have a cooler master stacker case which has the removeable panal in the back so I might take that part off and trace it onto what I need to cut and see what I can do.
