Power Networking.

I'm aware of something called power networking in which you can use the houses electrical grid as a network and you just need to plug an interface into an outlet. Does anyone know where I can get this?

Yeah, it's called powerline networking. There's a whole page of them on newegg:

Would a single outlet extension chord work or is that to be considered a power strip. Also if I have it plugged in and another power strip with 3 computers and a treadmill is connected to the outlet right above it, will it effect my connection speed?
