Are BT breaking the law???

the upgrade should have been free so it should of just continued your contract. if it is over 12 months you should therefore be able to cancel it. im with bt and they upgraded my speed from 512kb/s to 2mb/s perfectly fine. they said nothing about another year contract or anything. surely your 2mb max speed is just where you live, i have a simular prob because my line doesnt support over 4mb/s yet, so i cant get any of the decent speeds.
