First try reinstalling Firefox, If you are using a wireless connection go configure your ISP adress or DNS or WEP key is right.

ok system idle prosses is 97 cpu im pritty sure thats not good
and this only started happing when put in a new hard drive
mabey not enough phyisical memory

fire fox uses 35-50 when surfing is that alright?

cabbspapp when u say ur laptop freezes with IE7 do u mean just IE or the whole pc? because ie froze on my pc too, until i disabled the Tab feature.

I can't remember, ever since that happened, I started using Firefox on it. I think it's just IE, because I can still move the mouse, not sure if explorer.exe freezes though.
