Formatting in sig's

Leave it unstuck for now, as there will be reply's anyways wich will bring it up to the top. As far as the idea goes it is a cool option to have, but it ain't worth having the forum breached by abused code..

So as i have said before the last time this was brought up..It does infact make the forum look messy, and it takes away from the text in the threads. I would'nt hold your breath on this one, I just don't see it happening.

There you go brookfield!

Perfect post, multi quoted and no double posts, or editing others posts.

Good job! +rep

lol, sad that we must reward such behavior from Brookfield.

Haha, yeah...isn't that supposed to be something that everyone is expected to do? :p

Anyways, this isn't something hard to implement. It's not like we're asking for a whole ton of crap to be done here. Just some signature formatting options is all we ask. Not even images! Just the ability to format our signatures and use whatever font or color we want. I don't think that's asking too much.

^ i see your point dude but i think anything that needs to be said about brookfield should be done in the thread made in the social lounge. otherwise the mods will not be happy

to be honest, i really like OCForum's signature rules. Here they are:
OCFORUMS.COM said:
There are certain things that are not allowed in sigs that are allowed in the rest of the forums. This is a list of what those are.

Size:
We restrict the size of your sig as it is meant to be an enhancement to the forums. When it becomes large, the sig actually detracts from the flow of the thread in which it is contained.

The allowable size of your sig is going to be determined on a point basis, with 10 being the maximum number of points. Note that blank lines count.

Points system as follows:
size 1 = .75 points per line
size 2 = 1 (normal size) points per line
size 3 = 1.5 points per line
Lines with emoticons = 1.5

Size three is the largest allowed size, as anything larger detracts from the actual post. The following emoticons are not allowed as they are too large:
confused
santa
santa2
banghead
bday
attn
temper
Welcome
bday

There are also certain tags that are not allowed as they insert too much into your post. These are the ones that set the text into a block. They are as follows:
quote
code
list
php

Note also that long lines wrap to the next line, which is based on the size of your window. The determining width is going to be a maximized window in 800x600 resolution. If it wraps, it counts as a new line. It also does have to wrap at 800x600 rather than make your post wider than the screen.

Links:

Links fall under the advertising rule, and thusly are not allowed except for a very few exceptions. One of which is Senior members are allowed a link to thier own personal sites.

These are the only URLs allowd in your sig:
http://*.octeams.com
http://www.ocsetiteam.com
http://www.heatware.com/<user profile linking>
http://www.overclockedgamerz.com
http://short-media.com/files/thraxfoldingflash/

These links are to the OC supported teams' (OC SETI, OC F@H and OC 3dMark) pages, to your heatware profile if you're trading, and to the OC affiliated overclockedgamerz site.

Specifics that are not always thought to be covered that you are not allowed to have are unclickable URLs or email addresses.

Yeah, that would be nice. Having images is too much, but just being able to use colors and different fonts etc would be nice.

i agree i think different fonts would be really cool...

lol and i hate when people have the huge forum sigs that make the page so wide...lol something like this would be kinda cool for the mods though

That's actually really cool. It looks professional, small, and nice. +1
