core 2 duo over amd turion no matter what.....go with the dell...also all the other specs are exactly the same except on the dell your fsb's are going to be 1:1 so that is always good!

the alienware has 2 7900's sli, so i would think that would be the better one to get, if he wants to do a lot of gaming

Basically this is what it comes down to me....Amd turion with 2 256mb geforce 7900gs vs. Intel core 2 duo with 1 256mb geforce 7900gs....
