Maybe I should just go with what you would all recommend with an E6600 Intel processor and 8800 video card as far as the MOBO is concerned. I'm not sure which one to get which is why I raised this post to begin with. Alot of the MOBO's I see have a combo of RAID, SATA, and IDE on their specs.
I recently upgraded to SATA from a standard parallel ATA drive, and I noticed a huge difference in performance. Windows takes about half the time to boot now. Games run much quciker, and Windows is a bit snappier. Both drives were from the same manufacturer and both were 250 GB.Daeva said:Honestly... It doesn't really matter. Unless you're playing some very advanced games and putting through your computer components through hell and back every day. You won't notice a significant performance increase. SATA is more simple to setup(IE, just plug it in, and go) vs IDE which I personally find to be a pain with some cases(not enough room to move around!). It's personal preference, SATA is THE technology right now, but then again, so was windows ME.....

RAID is not an interface,
Raid is a configuration of hard disk drives.
Whoops, forgot about that. Thanks for correcting me.LambOfGod said:There are 36 Gig raptors as well.
