I'm willing to build a pc, and the budget is $700. I want at least 2GB of ram and a 7600GT(~$300 for both). Please give me some ideas on the cpu, motherboard, case etc. Already have the monitor and OS.

Depends what u want to do with it to be honest. If u cud give us a clue as to what u want to use it for then we can help more :)

The computer would be used for some mild gaming, and for programming, playing movies and things like that.

Personally and its just personal choice, i wouldnt go with that CPU for gaming mild or not, id go for an AMD Dual Core, or Core Duo , will bump up the price but im not a huge fan on p4's.

After some searching, I've created a list. Please give me some toughts on the choices, and if the price could be taken down a bit, that would be great too.

Everything looks good, If u wanted to lower the price abit u cud go for different ram. Thats high performance and the rest of the components are mid level. Seems a bit overkill , not that i wudnt like the ram ;)

What is that pc in your specs? Try to get a core 2 duo if you can. but you might need to save up $100 more if you want one, but it will be worth it.
