I want to get the mobo so i can get an Intel Core 2 Duo later on.

No, it will not. The chipset on the motherboard will not support Pentium 4 CPUs. besides it's S478 anyways. So it wouldn't work.

I want to get the Core 2 Duo E6400 so I don't have to upgrade later.. is it worth $100 extra?

No, get the E6300 and OC it, then you get X6800 performance. Basically for $170 or so, you get $1000 performance.

I will most likely go with the E6300, but I read that the stock heat sink is terrible, Idle temps from 50-80c..
Recommend a good heat sink for this cpu?

I have a nice case, 2 SATA hard drives, DVD/CD ROM and a 550w psu (24 pin)
