No audio since installing Vista

I've just installed Vista as an upgrade and the audio was working fine on XP.

However it has stopped working since I installed Vista.

There is a little sound picture with a cross next to it in the system tray that says "No audio output device is installed" but when I go to Device Manager nothing has an exclamation next to it.

Any ideas guys?

You probably need to install drivers. What kind of computer do you have?

It's a Sony Vaio LA1

I had the same problem with mine, i had to use windows update, and vista installed my missing drivers then

If its RealTek just get them off the Realtek site.

It's probably onboard AC97, so that's the drivers for it.
