Hi,

Can someone help me about the issue?

I m using Windows 2000 Server on Domain controller and Windows 2000 professional on workstations.

I have some programs/softwares which are when installed, require administrative access to run. For example, in my accounts section, they need a software named "QuickBook". They are unable to run this program unless they have administrative access. I am not talking about installation, its about running these programs or softwares.

Is there a way to run these programs/softwares without giving a user administrative rights?

Please help.

Regards.

+1 Navigate to C:\Program Files\Quickbooks Rigth click on the Quickbooks folder, go to properties, go into the security tab, then give full access to the users that need it.

Can't you set it to 'Run As'? so you enter a admin and password into the run as box but ofcourse the user themselves stays as user access

He would have to do that everytime they tried to use the program. If he just sets the security to add the users in as full access, He won't have to worry about it again.
