Help me choose a cooler

I've been looking at quite a few different coolers. I just want to make sure what I get will work with my e6600. As long as it says its LGA775 compatible it should work with my core2duo correct? I've also looked into liquid coolers as well but i'm not sure I want the hassel or not. Here are the options.

Blue matches my LEDs in case though not important compared to coolings propertys. $59.99 Why would this be cheaper if it includes a fan speed controller and is made completly of copper?

First time i've seen this but it looks really nice plus it should match my Asus board nicely. $68.99 Worth it? Says it works on the core2duo's which leads me to believe the above isn't for the core2duo's.

Massive 120mm fan however read some comments regarding the support brackets included for mounting this. I'm not getting into a hassel ordering mods to fit this. Can anybody confirm this? $46.99 Cheaper than the rest fan runs lower mostly due to larger fan.

And the simple Liquid cooler system. From reviews i've read the recommend adding a pump internal to the loop because the standard pump isn't that reliable. Anybody provide me a link to the extra internal pump not sure what i'd be looking for.

My main goal is to decrease overall temps as I said before noise really isn't a concern. Also I have some Asus 80mm fans that came with my board for the NB & SB but i've been reluctant to run these because they have a warning that says only use with passive or watercooled systems. Would I be able to run these with any of the above mentioned air coolers or only with the Kingwin system? How long would these coolers be good for? Relatively new to this if the fan quits working after a year or so can I install a replacement fan or do I need to buy a new cooler? Also that brings up a similar question about fans. Should I buy some extra whats the average lifespan of say the HD Fans or Case fans?

I'm kind of leaning toward the ASUS 90-PN531CE-00100 because its all copper, same manufacture as my board, and it looks good.

i have the zalman 9500 and it works great. your 9700 should work a little better because of the bigger fan. It does work with the C2D, so you don't need to worry about that.

[edit] and take the zalman that is all copper if you get it.

I have the Tuniq Tower 120. It's supposedly the best LGA 775 cooler around. If you wanna do some OCing, definitely check it out. It keeps my E6600 at a solid 40C overclocked to 3 GHz under load. Note that this thing is massive though, about 4 times bigger than the stock cooler, so make sure you'll have room in your case. I got mine from here, very good place, I'd recommend it. Not as good or as fast as newegg, but I ordered it Sunday and got it Thursday.

I have Zalmans of both copper/aluminum and full copper in two of my rigs and they both work equally well. I don't use the fan controller as fan noise is not a problem even at full speed. The only real difference between the two is that the copper/aluminum one is lighter.

The two extra 80mm fans are only to be used with a water cooling system such as the Kingwin you linked to or in a system that uses mainly heatsinks to cool it such as a HTPC setup.

Ive bought the 9700 last week waiting for delivery, but after seeing a few reviews, the Tuniq tower is supposed to be the best, as the Zalman tends to fall behind in overclocking temps (this is what the review said anyway)

Hmm I actually found this interesting article just a few moments ago. I can say the Asus one's are out. This gives the temps of several popular coolers.

I may be leaning towards the Zalman CNPS 9700 because it scores in the top 5 on every load rating. The big typhoon is pretty close actually beating it at some loads and losing by a little bit at some loads.

Just curious though it says like 20watt load, 60 watt load, 80 watt load, 120 watt load i'm assuming this refers to voltage. So what would 120 watt load be the equivelent of the Vcore?

This should just take you to the zalman 9700. At the bottom of the page you should see test results. Click the graph on the right hand side and it will take you to the comparison between all the coolers. Make sure the link takes you to the specs. Yep just checked it. It will go to spec's but then switchs to the buy page for some reason. You need to click specifications then you'll see test results on that page.
