finding out specs

my friend wants to find out what the specs of his HP are. is there a program he can download or a site that he can visit that will tell him his exact specs?

If you want a basic analysis of your pc and don't want to install any software, try the following link....I personally use EVEREST but people have suggested this, just select a game, don't matter which and it will tell you your general specs..

You can still get the free Everest Home edition here at MajorGeeks.com.

Another really good program is Belarc Advisor. It will give you a "detailed profile of your installed software and hardware" plus more. Oh yea, it's free of course.
