I don't think you can run those two at the same time because they might be different speeds or you might have them in the wrong spot

does that matter? i hought dual channel was automatic when ur mobo found out that u had two of the same ram

I'm pretty sury it isn't auto-detect. And I just checked, he doesn't have dual-channel. What is the beeping pattern?

Yeah, most of the time they will run fine, just at the slower speed. Now and again you get problems if you have a tempremental mobo. So you are both right

yup yup, ive got it running in an old dell, so its pretty reliable
