Upgrading PC for gaming

yea i am all for 2 gigs of ram. He just dont have the cash.

And if it was me, thats were i would skimp because its an easy thing to upgrade in the future.

Well overall would you reccomend a 1gig upgrade over a new motherboard or CPU? if I only got ram I could offord a 2gig ram upgrade. I could get a new CPU and a gig of ram also I just dont want to spend over $400

umm. i would go for the ram definitely, and are u sure u have dual core p4 3.0ghz? i think u mean the hyperthreading's virtual dual core. anyway, ur cpu is fine, and i would really go for the ram. ram is more important than processor to me and ur processor isnt bad.

Yeah, add another gig of RAM for now. Other than that, you might want to get a new motherboard, but that's a nice setup.

Is the ram you are getting DDR 2 if so what speed DDR 2?
