a bum bag is abag round the waist, but rests on ya ass, i think you lot call it a fanny bag :) (apparantly) fanny means something completely different here, its a v****a :)
 
chips and fries, people will disagree with me, but i think chips are the thick cut chunky potatoes and fries are the skinny ones, like maccy d's :)
 
see chips here are thin flat usually roundish slices of potato that are deepfried or something so they're crunchy

fries are skinny chunks of potato also fried

and potato wedges are just that wedges of potato that are again fried
