why is the L1 cache so small?
 
L2 is where most of the data is stored, I believe L1 is generally memory or something. Not to sure. There's even L3 cache out now.
 
No way, the Core 2 Duo E6600 is probably the best price-to-performance CPU out in the market. It won the best Product for Price award twice on NewEgg.com. It's a DAMN good CPU.
 
The L1 cache is supposed to be small. All processors have a tiny L1 cache. It's smaller, but faster than the L2 cache.
 
no my amd athlon xp 2000+ has 64 and 256kb
thel2 cache is something that usually gets made lower on budget processors like intel celerons and the amd semprons
 
I mean L1. It says like 64kb+64kb. Just for L1. I know L2 is like 256 to 2mb usually
