Newegg has some nice Travelmates. Man, they can get expensive. Are there any other sites that you guys go on to purchase laptops from? Besides Newegg? I'm so not use to buying laptops. I figure I could always go down to a Best Buy or a CompUSA. Then again, Dell's got some really, really, really cheap laptops.

Woo, Sony Vaio's are super lightweight too. My roommate has one. It's fast. I'll see if they got any for under a grand. Probably not though, lol since they're so good.

Man, all the Core 2 Duo's are like almost $1,000+!!! Regular Core Duo's run at around $700+ just a couple hundred dollars in price difference. Hmmm, I wonder if it's worth getting the Core 2 Duo then?

try AMD Turion X2? Maybe Pentium M? or even then Core Duo? Core Duos are are still nice, even though Netburst based, they still are great CPUs

Man, the smoke from the laptop is spreading around my room, lol. Stupid laptop. NEVER, EVER buy from Compaq/HP. Cheap, defective pieces of junk. I'm so dissapointed. That's what they get for bringing a woman CEO to the company (ok, I don't know how that fits in).

yea core 2 duo is much better. but u wont be getting a conroe in a laptop unfortunately. its all meroms.
