Is it worth it?

i say do it, theres no performance that beats dual core (except quad core, lol) but otherwise yea i say go for it, you'll notice a major performance difference when running more than one program at once ;)

:) good luck! i think you outa like it, my laptop has an AMD x2 1.6ghz and i can run 4 intense programs at once and get no lag, so i think the desktop version should pretty much kick ass

Personally, I would just OC your current one, and save up for a Core 2 Duo upgrade. Besides the dual-core, it's not really that big of a difference. Then again, I'm a gamer, and most games don't really utilize dual core. It is nice running iTunes and AIM and Outlook and Firefox and Folding @ Home all at the same time though.

I don't like it doesn't come with a HSF though. Only downside.
yeah but if overclocking is your thing then you will not need a stock hsf anyway

True, but I rather spend the initial $175+ so i can use the product right out of the box, rather then have to buy another product in order to use it.
