why on some mother boards do they have the 4 pin molex conenctor for the pcix-16 slots, when others don't? do the others just use power from the main connector to power the pcix-16, or what?
I dont think it makes any difference. I think its just down to the mobo manufacturer on what connector they use. Also, most PSUs come with molex connectors, so it might be something to do with that.
what I mean is why do some mobos have the 24 pin, 4+4 pin cpu, and a molex connector for the pcix-16, while others have just the 24 pin, and he 4+4 pin cpu.
